General Information:

This triplex was originally opened as the Maple 1-2-3 on March 23, 1977 by Suburban Detroit Theaters. It was acquired by AMC (the cupholders still have the AMC logo on them) in 1992 and by Landmark Theatres in 1998. In the summer of 2012 it was taken over by an independent operator.

Landmark purchased this from AMC probably some time in 1998, I knew quite a few people working there at the time. The theatre, as all Landmarks, now exclusively shows independent films.

I opened the Maple Theatre, as Manager for Suburban Detroit Theatres. SDT Theatres always intended the Maple to show foreign films. It was sold to AMC and resold to Landmark.
