I believe the Vineyards goes back to the 1950's according to the historical aerial photos. This area of Franklin Road was more rustic when I was growing up in Southfield from the 1950's thru the 1970's. I seem to recall that stretch was dirt when I was a kid. So, when the Vineyards was constructed, there wasn't much else around. Northwestern Hwy and Southfield in general got really built up with commercial and office buildings. The Vineyards building stood until sometime after 2007 until it was demolished. I believe it was closed long before that. A new restaurant was built on the lot and Bigalora sits on the site as of 2023.
